Fly-Tipping removal

Coventry City Council aim to remove fly-tipped items from Council owned land within five working days or one working day where the offence causes an obstruction or is considered dangerous. Fly-tipping is treated very seriously and anyone caught will be prosecuted.

Fly-tipping incidents

Latest City Council figures show a reduction in fly-tipping incidents – prosecutions have risen with the number of enforcement actions carried out by the Council rising from 2,613 in 2017/18 to 3,925 in 2018/19.

Waste collection

It is  important for residents paying for someone to take away their rubbish to check to ensure the waste carrier is licensed. It is often those who operate without a licence who end up illegally disposing of their waste through fly-tipping. Residents may face prosecution if any documentation linking them to the fly-tipped rubbish is found.

Are you paying to have your rubbish removed?

Are you using a registered Waste Carrier or is your rubbish being fly tipped?
